This year’s #a11yTO conference is confirmed to be taking place in Toronto on October 15 through to October 18. The conference has a few tickets available, with October 15 being the #a11yTO Gaming day of which Ubisoft is a sponsor. Talks have been confirmed with speakers from across the industry who will speak about video games and accessibility.

Examples of what talks are available include one from The Vale: Shadow of the Crown developer Falling Squirrel. Another comes from Ubisoft’s Aderyn Thompson titled “Accessibility by Design: Finding Our Way on the Path Less Traveled.” The a11yTo event will also have booths available for attendees such as a Makers Making Change booth where adaptive controllers will be present.

Can I Play That? is also a part of the event at the Accessible Arcade. This booth will contain a number of games that won last year’s CIPT Awards 2021. A full rundown of what attractions are available can be found on the official website.

The #a11yto Gaming event appears to be only available for those going in-person on October 15 according to the tickets page. Following that, October 16 will host an Audio Described Ghost Walk. The main event takes place on October 17 to October 18 and is available for both in-person and digital attendees.
